One of the most wonderful things about being born again and being in the New Covenant is that we can hear God speak. But we have to learn how to perceive His voice or we will not be able to hear it. What we do not perceive we will never honour and what we never honour will never be close to us. So, we have to learn to perceive the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Without the voice of the Holy Spirit you might as well be blind in the spiritual realm. With the voice of the Holy Spirit, you can have the wisdom of God guide you, protect you, keep you, bring you to a place of victory and increase. I believe that there is no Christian anywhere in the world whose life would not be better if they learned to better perceive the voice of the Lord. The voice of the Holy Spirit can bring you to a place of victory and abundance and health. It can turn your finances around 100%.
Did you know that right now the TV station is broadcasting to your room? Whatever room you are in there is TV! But unless you have a TV set tuned into that signal, you are not watching the TV programme. But that does not mean it is not transmitting, it means you are not receiving. Right now God is speaking to you, but you need to work on your receiver.
So, the first thing we all need to do is learn to perceive the voice of the Lord so we can receive His Words and honour them. And the number one reason why we do not perceive the voice of the Lord is that we are just too busy. Even when we pray, we are so busy talking and shouting to the Lord we do not even take the time to listen to His voice. But even without that most of us are too busy to hear the Lord. It’s only been recent, but now when I ask people how they are doing, the answer is more often than not “I’m busy”. Busy is not the place to hear God’s voice.
The Bible does not say Be Busy and know I am God, it says be still and know I am God (Psalm 46.10). The Lord’s voice is still and small so we need to stop other voices and silence them so we can hear the Lord. You need to turn off the radio and TV, stop worrying, turn your phone on silent, and spend some time with the Lord. It can take a lot of time but we must put the time in – one word from the Lord can be worth more than ten years of hard work.
Make a decision today to spend serious time with the Lord, shutting out all the other voices, and find out His will and purpose for your new year. It will be worth the time.

it’s something I think most of us know but I believe it is crucial that as Believers in Jesus that we REALLY know this in this season of where we are in our lives and where we are on God’s calendar. And more than know it, we have to be super tuned in to the Holy Spirit and hear His Voice! It is vital to our calling. So yes, let us BE still, make the time and Know our Lord better so we can follow Him. 🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️
