Whether it lasts or not, praise God for respite for the police. And praise Him for all the people who cleaned and helped get everything back to “normal”. Though I don’t think normal is the right word to use.
I say regularly at church the greatest problems facing England are not social, not political, not economical. They are doctrinal. If the church does not know and teach the truth of the gospel then the church fails to be salt and light to the world. That is why the politicians are so confused and in the dark – the church has failed to be light to the nation because it doesn’t know what it truly is!
Why is Sunday morning still the single most segregated time in the city? Why are so many people without hope and without dreams people who see the church as an enemy not a friend? Why do people think stealing is acceptable?
The church has got to ask the hard questions and go before God and ask for the wisdom to be the head and not the tail and bring life to this nation.
