God is YOUR FATHER!

God is Your FATHER!

http://treeoflifelondon.weebly.com/the-father-and-his-family.html

God loves you. It doesn’t matter what you have done, it doesn’t matter what you do, God loves you. It is a lie that God’s love for you depends on your performance.

In this bold, uncompromising sermon Benjamin preaches the truth about a God who is not a harsh God looking to get you, but a tender Father looking to get stuff to you. This is a foundational message that every Christian needs to build into their life – it will set you free from worry, fear and sadness for EVER!

Who Will Take the Son? (Ray Bevan)

“Who Will Take the Son?’

There was a very wealthy man who, with his young son, shared a passion for art collecting. Together they travelled the world, adding to their collection. Priceless works adorned the walls of the family estate. But the day came when war engulfed the nation, and the young man left to serve his country. After only a few weeks, his father received a telegram that his beloved son had been killed while carrying a wounded fellow soldier.
On Christmas morning a knock came at the door of the man’s home and as he opened the door he was greeted by a soldier with a large package in his hand. He introduced himself by saying, ‘I was a friend of your son. I was the one he was rescuing when he died. May I come in? I have something to show you.’ ‘I’m an artist,’ said the soldier, ‘and I want to give you this.’ As the old man unwrapped the package, the paper gave way to reveal a portrait of his son. Though the art critics would never consider the work a piece of art, the painting did feature the young man’s face in striking detail, and seemed to capture his personality.
The following spring, the man became ill and passed away. According to the will of the man, all of the art works would be auctioned. The day soon arrived, and art collectors from around the world gathered to bid on some of the most spectacular paintings. The auction began with a painting that was not on any museum’s list. It was the painting of the man’s son. The auctioneer asked for an opening bid. The room was silent. ‘Who will open the bidding with $100?’ he asked. Minutes passed with not a sound from those who came to buy. From the back of the room someone called out, ‘Who cares about that painting? It’s just a picture of his son. Let’s forget it and go on to the important paintings.’ There were other voices, which echoed in agreement. But the auctioneer replied, ‘No, we have to sell this one first. Now, who will take the son?’

Finally, a friend of the old man spoke. ‘I knew the boy, so I’d like to have it. I will bid the $100.’ ‘I have a bid for $100,’ called the auctioneer. ‘Will anyone go higher?’ After a long silence, the auctioneer said, ‘Going once. Going twice. Gone.’ The gavel fell. Cheers filled the room and someone was heard to say, ‘Now we can get on with it!’ But the auctioneer looked at the audience and announced the auction was over. Stunned disbelief quieted the room. Someone spoke up and asked, ‘What do you mean it’s over? We didn’t come here for a picture of some old man’s son. What about all of these paintings? There are millions of dollars’ worth of art here! We demand that you explain what’s going on!’ The auctioneer replied, ‘It’s very simple. According to the will of the father, whoever takes the son… gets it all.’

‘He that has the Son has life.’  How many overlook Jesus as irrelevant to life not realising he is God’s only son, sent as a gift to humanity.  Receive him and you get it all.  Purpose, love, security, meaning, eternal life.  What more do you want?

Woe To Dad (Marilyn Jordan)

Woe to Dad

                                                      by Marilyn Jordan

If you were wondering who was winning the worldview battle between the feminists and Christians, wonder no longer.

A new survey just out from Babytalk magazine found that as far as women are concerned, dads are getting more irrelevant all the time.  It seems that many married moms would rather go it alone when it comes to parenting.  According to the survey, 76% of married women liked the idea of not fighting with a partner about the best way to raise a child.  Not having to work at maintaining a healthy marriage was another crowd pleaser at 69%, while 30% of the respondents thought they’d be happier if they didn’t have to deal with in-laws.

As if all this weren’t bad enough, single moms in the survey agreed.  Almost two thirds of the unmarried moms felt it would be harder to be a parent with a man in the house.  Another 55% expressed relief at not having to worry about working on a marriage as well as child rearing.  More than a third (38%) said they were freer to follow their dreams.

Obviously Father Doesn’t Know Best and never did.

The reporter who covered the story, a single mom herself, added that she liked the fact that no one complains when she leaves her sweaty workout clothes on the floor overnight, insisting that we all work better without someone looking over our shoulder.  How far have we sunk as a culture when the deep, lifelong love and commitment of a married couple as ordained by God can be reduced to the petty selfishness of this kind of thinking.

The feminist agenda has worked hard to make men as irrelevant as possible in the general scheme of a ‘liberated’ woman’s life — except when it comes to paying child support.  The idea of the man as head of the household is seen as sexist.  Under the relentless and critical onslaught of the feminist worldview, men themselves have abdicated their leadership role in the family either by becoming doormats or turning into controlling tyrants often to the point of abuse.

The Bible says we will become lovers of self in the end times.  Feminists have convinced too many women that their own pleasure, their own agenda comes first.  This is a big part of the reason why we now have thousands of women every day, along with their boyfriends/significant others, refusing to be held responsible for their sexual choices.  How convenient that the abortion industry is ready and waiting to get rid of any ‘inconvenient’ babies that result from our sex-on-demand culture.  As President Obama so helpfully pointed out, he certainly wouldn’t want either of his daughters ‘punished’ with a baby if they ‘make a mistake’.

Everywhere you turn, America is riding roughshod over the biblical worldview.  Everywhere you turn, people are suffering the consequences, most especially the children.  Women may think they’re better off without a husband or father for their child, but the statistics show that kids raised by single moms are at a disadvantage across the boards and that they all too often end up as unwed teen parents, school dropouts, juvenile delinquents, and worse.

The Creator’s plan for the family includes a loving father and mother, not a single mom and certainly not two moms or two dads.  Is it any wonder the ranks of the lost and unfulfilled continue to grow?

10 Reasons God Wants YOU Well…

10.  The Bible says that His Name is Healer (Exodus 15.26) – it is important to God that He is always faithful to His name.

9. Jesus wants us to enjoy life in abundance, and if you are sick you cannot be living life to the full. (John 10.10)

8. God created Adam sickness free and declared that it was good that man was healthy (Genesis 1.26ff)

7. In heaven there is no sickness (Revelation 21.4), and we are told to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 7)

6. In Deuteronomy 28, sickness is a curse and health is a blessing and Galatians 3.13-14 says we are totally set free from the curse and we have the blessing.  Sickness has not suddenly moved to the blessing side!

5. Jesus said healing is the children’s bread (Matt. 15.22-28), and we are the children of God (John 1.12)

4. Jesus went around healing the sick and doing good (Acts 10.38) and Jesus has not changed (Hebrews 13.8)

3. Jesus Christ carried our sicknesses and our diseases on the cross (Matt. 8.16-17) and we should not carry something that He carried for us.

2. Six one syllable words that it would take someone to help you misunderstand and misinterpret their plain and simple meaning: By His Stripes, We Were Healed (1 Peter 2.24)

1. The number one reason I know God wants you well is that you are beloved of the Father, and if you ask your Father for bread He will not give you a stone (Luke 11.11).  It is that simple: God loves you as a Father and every Father would want their child to be well.  That is just a fraction of how much God wants you to be well.

All you have to do is believe and receive (Mark 11.23-24) and you can enjoy divine health for the rest of your life.

Glory and freedom,

Benjamin

We Died To Our Old Nature (Kenneth Hagin)

We Died to Our Old Nature

By Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.(2 Cor. 5:17)

When we were born again, we died to our old nature. We died to our diseases. And we rose in the fullness of life, free from our sins and diseases.

I was reading a sermon by a Methodist minister once. In his sermon, he shared the following story:
“I was in bondage to tobacco. I was in a large city at a Methodist conference and wanted a cigarette. So I went into the back alley and smoked a cigarette.
[If any of the brethren had seen him, they would have taken his ordination papers away from him.] Afterwards, I felt so condemned.

“I said to the Lord, ‘Lord, I’ve done my best. I know that I don’t need that and I shouldn’t be bound by anything. And yet, I’m under bondage. I’ve prayed and fasted sometimes as long as two weeks and I still go right back to it.’

“Then I heard the Lord say, ‘That’s the problem. You’ve tried to do it yourself. Don’t you know that I delivered you from all bondage at Calvary?’ I said, ‘Yes, that’s right. You did. Thank You, Lord. I’m delivered!'”

From that day on, he never wanted another cigarette. You see, he accepted God’s deliverance and was set free!

In the area of healing, many people are struggling and trying to be healed. They don’t realize that Jesus already delivered them from all sickness and disease at Calvary and that all they have to do is accept it and thank God for it.

Confession
Thank You, Father, for delivering me from sickness and disease at Calvary. I accept it and thank You for it!

E. W. Kenyon on Tithing

TITHING

God is the original giver.
He so loved that He gave.
All giving is a love affair.
When people love the Master they will give to His cause.
When they love the message they will bear the burden of its Broadcasting.
No one has close fellowship with the Father who is not a giver.
The relation of giving to prayer is shown in Jn. 3:13-24. By closing up your heart to the needy you close Heaven to your prayers.
The reason for many unanswered prayers is explained in this scripture.
When we call for the doctor we expect to pay him; when we get medicine at the drug store we expect to pay.
We should share with the Lord when He answers our prayer as we share with the doctor and druggist.
His blessings will always match our giving.
I have found that the measure of my giving is the measure of my receiving.
If we give largely, we will receive largely.
Mal. 3:10, “Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, and there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
This is a warning to the careless giver.
It is a challenge to the earnest giver and it is a promise to the real givers. He says to us to bring the whole tithe into the store-house. Sometimes it is very hard to give the whole tithe.
I remember a man telling me that he was always a tither and had been greatly blessed because of it while he worked on a salary.
He had saved up money enough to go into business and his business was prosperous from the beginning. Instead of being able to give twenty-five or thirty dollars a month, he was now enabled to give several hundred and the temptation was strong to cut his giving down.
He was an honest man and he prayed much about it.
Finally he caught the vision and promised God he would give a tenth and then he began to give offerings beside the tenth. When I last saw him he had instead of one small store, three large stores.
The hand of God was upon him in a very rich way.
I knew of another that received several thousand dollars from his mother’s estate. He had tithed in his small way until this large amount came. He and his wife discussed it and prayed about it much until finally they decided that this was a gift and they dared to give God His share.
Then He became their partner in a sense they had never known.
He tells us that He wants us to bring the whole tithe into the store-house that there may be food for the poor, for the needy.
He says I want you to prove me if I will not pour you out a blessing that you are unable to receive.
In the next verse (Mal. 3:11): “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before the time in the field, saith Jehovah of hosts.”
Most of God’s people put money in bags with holes. They often lose their investments because they will not share with the Lord.
It will be to the Lord’s interest to back you up, to protect you from losses if He is to be a sharer in the income.
Do not use your tithes for any other purpose; give it to the Lord.
You cannot pay bills with it. You cannot support your own children with it. It is to be given to the Lord and His work.
